Review: Okajima Rokura is a normal person who leads a normal life. His life is uninteresting and his job isn’t really getting him anywhere. One day, he is given the task of carrying certain documents for his company. Unfortunately, the ship is attacked by a group of pirates and he ends up being kidnapped by them. The upshot of the whole incident is that Okajima Rokuro discovers the heartlessness behind his company as they are more interested in keeping the documents safe - even if it means doing away with their own employee. Appalled at their lack of concern and the fact that he cannot return to his old life anymore, Rokuro decides to join the pirates on their adventures around the South Asian Seas. Little does he know the danger and peril he’s asking for!
Black Lagoon is a naval version of Cowboy Bebop! Bounty Hunters, Pirates - they’re both after things worth money! Black Lagoon has a good dose of action - both with and without guns. It’s got interesting plots and good action - what else do you need? If you like bounty-hunter and action-type stuff, you would definitely like this series! Go get it!
