Review: Meet Amano Ginji and Midou Ban. Together they are the Get Backers - they offer to get back anything you’ve lost or has been stolen no matter how small or big. With a 99% success and a wide range of clients who want the Get Backers to bring back things such as ‘happiness’, Ginji and Ban plunge themselves into adventures and danger literally all the time. However, Ginji and Ban also possess unique powers that make them successful as the Get Backers. While Ginji has the power to control electricity, Ban was born with the ‘jagan’ or the evil eye - thus having the ability of creating illusions. Join them in their adventures as they help people, encounter formidable enemies and put everything on the line to keep up their 99% success rate!

Get Backers is a highly entertaining action-packed anime with the familiar theme of the good guys - forever broke and forever hungry. It is very similar to bounty-hunter animes such as Cowboy Bebop and Trigun. So if you liked those, you’d probably like this one too! The story does get more serious as Ban and Ginji’s pasts catch up to them and they are forced to confront them - but it only makes the story all the more interesting! Watch Get Backers for great action with a touch of light-hearted humour!
